Just booked on this tour - anyone else on it? Quite pricey - first class £138 and table-for-2 now £20. This is the first outing this year for 6024 - hope she has a better year than 2009!

I'm on the Beltane Express that day, double headed 4965 and 5043 down from Solihull to Didcot and back. Also the start of Didcot's GWR175 that day.

Pity it clashes with The Royal Duchy, I'd have liked to see that one. Still, there's always the Torbay Expresses over the summer, I'll book on one of 6024's days on that.

    Yes, I'm booked.

Can anybody confirm 6024 will work back to Bristol as I believe it was originaly only Exeter-Par-Exeter? If we get a run to Bristol that would be very welcome!

If true this is a great pity. The NYMR is a very testing railway and it would have been very interesting to see what the King could have shown them. Be interesting to see if something else can be arranged before its seven years run out.

Looking forward to this trip - will be my my first since The Bristolian with 6024 last December. Got the tickets yesterday, but I notice Pathfinders still have seats available in both classes on this 9 coach train.

Just noticed the 1 hour 6 min wait in Exeter Riverside yard in the morning. Passengers might do better to catch a service train to Exeter, to arrive before about 0920, and get a photo of the King arriving in St David's station - provided they don't mind the extra cost of the service train on top of the tour ticket.

Enough time for breakfast! Is there anywhere near Exeter station that does a good Full English?

Yep, we're on the 08:11 from Temple Meads. Should pass 6024 on the way into Exeter (arive 09:10) and an extra hour in bed! Only costed £18 for adult and two children.

Seems a curious schedule that waits so long at Riverside (they can't go early because Exeter is an advertised pick-up) then stops at Dawlish Warren!

6024 will have have to be on good form to keep time Exeter to Taunton on the Return but I think that will be the end of the enterainment as the rest of the run is a very easy scheulde back to BTM, I guess we will end up following a stopper like we did with 60019 a few weeks ago.
