According to uksteam.info, 6201 is headed for Tyseley from Crewe this coming Tuesday. Does anyone know why?

Lizzie is going tomorrow around noon, was rumoured to be as cover for another loco which may not be available for a run in the next couple of weeks. No idea which one though.

I'd imagine some below the frames work is more likely as this seems to be the type of work Tyseley get the most, unabale to see the move myself but then she has to leave at some point too.

You've got it in one Ralph.
We are going to repaint her in Brunswick Green add a bit of copper and brass so she doesn't look out of place during the GWR 175 Celebrations!!!!
The story I've heard is that 9600 won't be ready for 'The Britannia Banker' on 29 May, so plans are afoot to stick a couple of false tanks on Lizzies boiler and hope no one notices the difference.

Maybe Tyseley are going to put their tin bashing skills into practice again so we can see what a streamlined 'Lizzie' would look like?

My info was that she was only going to be there a comparatively short time.

I should point out in light of my earlier post that Bob Meanley is Chief Engineer at Tyseley and that he has had an association with Lizzie stretching back to the 1960's.
And that if she was sent to Tyseley for a repaint into Brunswick Green it would be a case of "Over my dead body".
I can report that when I left Tyseley this afternoon there was no sign of hearses queuing up on Warwick Road.
Further speculation on why she is at Tyseley is of course welcome.

Now to make my year and I have a big year to celebrate is there any remote chance of a Shakespeare appearance . I suspect the curve at Tyseley onto the North Warwicks may rule it out tender first

Not that i know their respective wheelbases but Duchess of Sutherland has taken it no bother previously, woulden't suprise me if there's tighter stuff on some preserved lines Lizzie has been to.
