Just returned from an early start at the K.E.S.Rly. ( 9 in steam ) to see Cromwell pass through Clapham a bit early 17.03.

A good way to round off the day.

That's correct. 41312 put in some cracking runs on the shuttle trains. The run from Alton was very good too. This included a noisy slog up the bank through Camberley station with 6 carriages in tow.

Unfortunately I couldn't see 70013 yesterday but it looks like she was in good form once again.

Was a good day out, seemed to run to time all day except returning from Ken Olympia to Staines was a bit late or change in operation. The sun played havoc all day with clouds appearing at the wrong time. Here are a couple of pics.

Thanks to the guys who picked me up to get to Black Potts Viaduct. Saved me a 5 minute run. Hope you got some good videos.

    cheers

    Very Nice picture Mr.G. 10/10
Must have been the first run, because on the noon run from Victoria they placed a name plaque for the Girl Guides on the front .It was delivered late to the station, then they had a little difficulty in errecting it,with the help of a screwdriver and elbow grease,it was fitted at the last minute.

    The rest is history.

Wasn't it fairly normal for the loco to be touching the buffers in steam days when they were the Hydraulic type at big terminuses ?.

Yes I'm sure you're right. The driver must have been feeling nostalgic for those bygone days! And maybe Windsor never had any need of that sort before Monday!:bump2:

I know I should not find this funny because its downright crazy but I had to snigger, sorry. However, the serious implications are not lost on me. Spotters beware. (from the BBC News website)

People seem to be posting this subject on every thread on the forum, how many times has it now cropped up? What's it got do with 70013's runs to Windsor apart from being the same engine?
