Not sure if anybody else has posted on-train footage in the many videos, but here is out effort, complete climb of the Lickey, mainly looking forward to 6201 but some nice bits of clag at the rear from 9600.

It should also be mentioned that 6201 made two very good solo climbs of Sapperton but the highlight was obviously Lickey!

Thanks to Vintage trains and all involved.

    Brilliant stuff there guys!

Will upload my offering from the train at some point this week.

Had a brilliant day,as always with the climb of the Lickey been the obvious highlight,it has to be said however that Sapperton was also great in both directions. The noise on the Lickey though was simply amazing, what a brilliant climb,to accelerate all the way up as well!

    Well done all!

My photos are now up at:

    Mark I agree about Sapperton:

Eastbound circa 36mph into the tunnel and Westbound circa 46mph between the tunnels.

I make it 320.5t tare (assuming 34t for 9101 which is a guess).

There's nothing I can say that hasn't already been said about the quality of the videos and photos......absolutely brilliant. Well done guys.
And thank you all for showing that you don't have to be wrong side of the fence to get great footage and shots. Everyone seemed to be impeccably behaved.:clap2:
And thank you to the Lizzie mob for standing in at such short notice.....that's some machine you have there.
One question remains unanswered. Who was that middle aged lady standing in the field in her pink dressing gown?

What a shame that all you photters seem to have missed the finale of the evening, featuring 9600 dragging the train up St Andrews bank with only minimal assistance from 6201 at the rear. Shorter but almost as good as the bit on the Lickey.

As Crewe Hall says the climb of St. Andrews by 9600 was made with minimal assistance from 6201. I was travelling in the buffet car right behind Lizzie and she gave about a 10 second shove at the bottom of the bank and another few seconds around half way otherwise it was all 9600's own work.
