I am thinking about attending this event together with the Swindon and Cricklade gala. Hopefully the latter will forgive me (I have already purchased rover tickets for both days).

I plan to purchase a souvenir brochure on arrival (together with a rover ticket) but does anyone 'in the know' know if the brochure states which way 4160 faces, and if not would they mind sharing the information here.

    Thanks

    Ben

PS: surprised they're wasnt a thread on this, are there no Hydraulic fans on here?

I have the Souvenier programme, I cant see anything about which way 4160 is facing. All I can say is keep an eye on the web cams.

    http://www.wsr.org.uk/webcam1.htm

According to the timetable its not due to be turned so will be same way round all 3 days. The diesels are due to be turned though....................

  3. No 4160 was facing Minehead yesterday morning.

A note on webcams - Minehead cam is not working as I write. The fault has been reported to the techies. Fingers crossed then.

Class 57s don't feature in the event listings but I'd be interested in receiving (wsrpix@gmail.com) pics of the Class 57 GBRf working this morning...altho it's already happened :)
