I assume this is a replica, though it looks to be quite a realistic one:

It featured briefly on the BBC News this morning. According to Universal, who've built the theme park, which has just opened:

The Hogwarts Express arrives at Hogsmeade Station as The Wizarding World of Harry Potter continues to develop at Universal Orlando Resort. As guests enter Hogsmeade, they will be greeted by the iconic, smoke-billowing steam engine, made famous in the Harry Potter books and films for transporting students to a world of magic and wonder. Opening in Spring 2010 only at Universal Orlando Resort, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter will feature multiple themed attractions, shops and a restaurant.

    Anyone know anything about it?

it's a fake. It appeared a few months ago ... but the real one was at king's cross last month. A good fake though.

One would hope that Disney would have agreed to pay for the next overhaul on the real one out of kindness !

oh, BTW, I like it in red (that'll start an argument)

It's Warner Bro's who are responsible for the Potter movies. And I hope that WCRC had a good enough deal with Warners to pay for more than just it's next overhaul.

Hopefully I'll be able to have a closer inspection of "The Fake" when we go on honeymoon in September 2011 but it does look rather good to say the least!

It's the cab windows that give it away for me, otherwise very good though! Does seem to be priming a tad

Saw the "replica" last week and, surprisingly, it's not full size! It's probably about 8/10 scale, it's apparent as soon as you walk up to it and find the buffers to be much lower and smaller than you are used to. A good fake but not a "replica".
