In addition to those times on UK Steam i've been told Stechford at 17:29 so should turn right at Leamington and go via Coventry.

And more nice filming! That is one good looking steam locomotive.

Surprised someone was positioned in front of the main gallery at Upton Scudamore.

The Tractor is actually 37706 if your into Diesel number crunching, passed Stechford on time, though i was hoping the sun would be a bit more head on than it was in the event: http://david1984.fotopic.net/p65494482.html

Don't mention TRACTORS... you can hear the tractor in BillR's footage at Upton Scudamore. One very angry farmer! Looks like the fields at Upton Scudamore ajacent to the line are under new management and judging by what was said to one of the cameramen there, we are no longer welcome!!

If the farmers fields are not part of a public right of way and you are in them without his permission then I think he has every right to be angry.

And according to the OS map there is no pubic right of way there. So it looks like the farmer has every right to exclude us if he wants to.

Sorry, guys, looks like we may have just lost a rather good photo spot. But such is life.

Have to use one of the two bridges at/near the summit now.

Bit of a long shot, but is it a designated right to roam area?

Question: How long have people been using the field to film/phot for?
My guess is time immemorial, if so we can claim a public RoW, four years use is usually enough but the further back you can go the better.

    I doubt it.

Not sure that just walking into a field without going on anywhere else will help there.

From my involvement in Forums concerned with walking, don't be surprised it the entrance gets blocked with barbed wire etc very soon.

If you wish to take photographs, perhaps the simple exercise of asking permission from the landowner, in the first place, might not go amiss, rather than assuming/demanding rights of access.

    Good manners can work wonders.

Well, at least you took the trouble to ask and the farmer's answer proved that the land was certainly not 'open access', which is hardly surprising in that part of Wiltshire!
