I know publication lead times are getting shorter all the time, but this must be a record! A picture of next Wednesday's tour back at its destination posted 5 days before it departs! Do you have access to The Tardis? ;-))

(Except that it will be 60019 on the return on Wed 4th Aug....)

    Oh, don't spoil Black5's "scoop"!
Incidentally, I think the photo is of 30777's arrival at Waterloo on Wed 11th Aug - so it's really 12 days beforehand. Spooky!!!!! ..........................

He'll end up in a Tardis wearing a long scarf with a very pretty 25 year old girl in tow!

30777 "clagging well" working through Egham more or less right time as per my "observer" in his office window down there!!

Heard some distance away, unlike "Bittern" last week.

Sir Lamiel down at Parkstone Station at 1241 in pouring rain with a well filled train. Plenty of steam again as saftey valves were lifting. DH

60019 Bittern up top of Parkstone Bank at 1730 with return Dorset Coast Express - nice steady rather than spectacular climb of bank following a heavy shower - understandably steady in circumstances DH

60019 passed Berrylands pretty much on time en route to the capital. Seems to have been a day where the two locos just got on with the job without fuss. Nice to see that actually.

A bit disappointing last night. 60019 crawled through Winchfield and almost came to a stand beyond the station. A bit odd really as all the lights ahead of her were already green. Still it was good to see 60019 back in service.

It was just around there that a lot of superb Bulleid Pacifc high speed running took place.

So maybe 60019 was slowing out of respect.

    You could be right Bryan.
A fair bit of high speed running happens there in preservation too. A couple of memorable experiences from Winchfield in recent years include seeing 35028 on the special run to Eastleigh works open weekend last year coming charging through as we waited for a service train to Basingstoke to go to the open weekend. Probably the best I have seen 35028 going. Also in the late 90's seeing 73096 storm through in the dark with the return working of the Cathedrals Express press train, the first run they did. This still sticks in the mind now. A superb spectacle!
