    Sat under 5967 with a needle gun
    Started to lift the boiler from the frames on Sunday. The boiler got lifted 8 inches to free things up and highlight any problems, ready for when the crane comes in. Not sure on the date of the full lift yet as it needs to be fitted in with some other things going on at the railway.     New picture on me. The photo must have been taken between 1962 and June 1964 when she went to Barry. In 62 it received an improved draughting boiler with higher superheating. Identifyied by the lack on chaplon on the chimney.

    That is interesting, I seem to remember Halls 5933 & 5967 outshopped ex-works around 1962/3. Unusual as many non 6900 series unmodified Halls were being withdrawn by then. They must of been the last 5900 series Halls to be overhauled.
