    Yes, thanks for that James. It's good to have the record put straight regarding some of the 'excitement' that tends to filter through from 'other places'. Its still an interesting topic to discuss, though, and shows that steam is by no means a certainty on the mainline...

    Issue 238 of The Railway Herald, page 11, has a short piece on these rumours. DBS Head of Communications is quoted as saying the company has no such policy. Phew!
