7827 picture 148863 is definitely Swindon Works, I think that it is standing outside the weighbridge shed.

I think that 7808 at Ashchurch is actually after BR had sold so it is in preservation.

I agree definately after preservation she was withdrawn at the end of 1965. I have some photos of around the same time and when I get chance I will scan them onto the computer and pass some copies onto you along with 6697 & 6201 which were taken roughly around the same time. I also think that the coach in the picture is GWR 248 First Class Family Saloon built 1881 which was damaged by a crane falling? on it at Ashchurch and now resides at the Bodmin and Wenford railway. Going back to 7808 there are local rumours that this engine (while based at Gloucester) was actually the last engine to run over the Tewkesbury Branch around '64/65 after the line closed and quite a while after the passenger service had ceased (12/08/1961)

Photo does not look like Mold Junction, more like Saltney Yards.

Neil's original caption said the photo was taken at 6B. I just responded with the name of the shed for 6B, Mold Junction. I can't vouch for the correctness of the original caption.

Great Photos Neil! As I said I have some photos (different ones of 6201 and looking at it 7808, along with 6697) and as soon as I have chance I will scan them up and send you copies for the site. Keep up the good work!!!
