Just a thought on this one on http://www.uksteam.info/tours/trs10.htm#twk it says DBS didn't think they operated double headers anymore !
And West Coast don't use 60163 so is it going to be 6024 or 60163 may be ?
Now I get shot down in flames, oh well never mind if I do !

I wouldn't mind if it was going to be the King or Tornado, but both together? No thank you. <BJ>

Eh? it is both locos. not sure why folks are saying 6024 OR 60163. When did dbs stop doing double headers? All trips west of Newton Abbot have to be DH now (unless load is 9 maximum)

6024 Bristol - Taunton, then 60163 + 6024 to Plymouth, both return together Plymouth - Bristol.

    According to uksteam.

On time at Totnes on return 60163 on front this evening.
Looked better this morning with 6024 on the front.
But i would have to say that seeing I'm known as GWR on here & to me they were the best.

Some great videos coming through. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07r0ITAut8I What a sight. Don't care about authenticity, this was fantastic. If the purists don't like it they can go and look at some old cine films!

14 coaches is a fairly authentic reason to double-head, I think, whichever the locos. Coming up on the Devon banks before too long, a blue and a green King, perhaps? For a tour name how about "the Double-Eddie"?

After the top and tailing out of Plymouth I got the bus out to Laira Depot to find 9466

In steam, two minutes later 60163 + 6024 came past from Marsh Mills to turn.

Managed to get all three in the same shot. With the Torbay & Looe branch Sunday.

    what a weekend.

Many thanks, but I must take no credit at all. It was simply one I found on YouTube. It's by this chap: http://www.youtube.com/user/Steamclips. His videos are superb.

A few shots at Totnes on Saturday, they really powered through the station on both runs. Shots on the afternoon run were a little difficult due to the low late September sun. A day to remember for sure.
