Does anyone know when the duchess Is going back to butterley? 6233 is booked to work from derby to London via ecml this Saturday 16th and it think 6233 is still down in London from this weekend.

I presume the route back to butterley. Would be back via Grantham across to Nottingham and then via toton high level.

Or it could go via Nuneaton, Leicester, toton butterley.

    Can someone help?

Going via tyseley, they seem good timings and am surprised the duchess is going via burton but seems a good route to take, plenty of high speed running, I hope to catch her at toton tonight. Updates would be appricated along the route?

I believe that last Fridays move was timed for 60mph running.

Isn't there a speed restriction for light engine and loco+support coach moves?

Is the speed restriction just for the locomotives that can't go over their desired speed. Most loco are gauged to run at 45mph, 60mph and 75 mph, with the exeception of Tornado.

Can anyone advise me if the duchess has arrived at tyseley?

I always understood light engine moves were restricted to 50MPH regardless of motive power ?, to do with the brake force (or lack of it with no train in tow).

Wish i saw this thread earlier now.

    Nice shot g4pfk.

The info re 60mph running was from 'a reliable source'.

that's some photo g4pfk, and it looks like the duchess is hurtling off down a disused branch where the rails have recently been lifted and stacked to the right of the duchess, good shot though.

Got a few shots as she passed through Hatton station going a fair old lick there!

    http://rickeborallphotography.fotopic.net/

Only managed one of her on the Chester outing as my lens went daft on me and wouldn't focus. Found out later I must have switched off the auto focus button as I grabbed it out of my bag! I was late getting to my location! I've uploaded that shot as well.

    All the best......RICK
