Two runs Tyseley to Stratford. First LE run leaves Tyseley at 1345. The ECS run leaves Tyseley at 1900.
Thats all I know at least. :noidea:

Can someone advise me of a decent photo location up in Derbyshire for Saturday? To see 45305?

45305 sounded great pulling up the 1 in 100 Sheffield bank on time, crisp beats and a clean white exhaust lovely sight. Pity the weathers wet and miserable. No box on the back.

Just got back from what in the end was a good day out with a decent destination, the last 2 miles or so into Buxton on the freight line from Peak Forest being very difficult and accounting for the hour or so late arrival with 45305 struggling for grip on load 10 on this section with 2 or 3 attempts being needed, full marks to the Driver & Support Crew for perservering on a line that i presume isn't visited by a RHTT rather than admit deafeat and inflict further delay waiting for assistance.

Otherwise 45305 performed like a good un with a decent load for a class 5 on a challenging route, i'll add a couple of pics next week but they are nowt special, with the reversal meaning most of which are tender first shots.

Difficult photography conditions yesterday in the Hope Valley heavy rain and poor light. However the day was rescued but only just with a shot above Cowburn tunnel looking back into the stunning Hope Valley scenery. The Stanier looked good in these surroundings you could hear the Black 5 well before she came into view from our viewpoint.

Just a note for anyone looking to do any photography at the south end of Dove Holes tunnel - watch out for the violent and totally unpleasant landowner who owns the plot immediately south of the Network Rail compound and steps. He owns the area marked by "Private - keep out" on the galvanised gate

We were safely in place on the steps when all hell broke out above our heads, as someone merely asked him if they could go onto his land; he was sitting in his Landcruiser waiting for a victim as they made to open his gate.

We told him what a nice impression he was giving of the area, but he seemd too busy still bawling out the unfortunate objects of his hostility, against whom he had rapidly rolled up his sleeves as if to do worse.

He either wants some of his own medicine, or a quick 999 call for threatening behaviour, as the land is simply a rocky outcrop with neither growing crops or livestock to be the subject of any damage complaint

All very well but if he owns the land then he has the right to get uptight about people trespassing on it, whether or not it is productive land.
Remember, it doesn't matter what state the land is in, if it's privately owned then you need the land owners permission to be there.

Doesn't it depend whether or not it's classed as 'open access'?

Not when it's fenced off. And if it is open access land and the landowner is contactable then it would be great for good relations to ask for permission.
I know you can't just give The Duke Of Devonshire a bell, but small land owners, why not?
