Something off on test on Wednesday?

    Tuesday 9th
1504 Crewe HC - WCR Carnforth

    Wednesday 10th
1102 WCR Carnforth - Hellifield - Clitheroe - WCR Carnforth
1959 WCR Carnforth - Crewe HC

At a guess, possibly 70000 Britannia?

EDIT - I see it has been posted in the 70000 Britannia topic in the Steam Loco section.

has there ever been an occation when 2 engines have been given their light engine test together wouldnt it be strange to see a steam engine on the mainline hauling another tender to tender with each providing the power each way ? i know that carnforth recently put out a black five with the 8F on a loaded test recently

No I do not currently volunteer
Brittania just left Crewe very slowly at 10.20 on its light test run to Warrington and return.

Yes I am an active volunteer
It must be 70000. I went pass Crewe HC yesterday and Clan Line was in the HC. Tender was detached from the loco.
