Can anyone kindly tell me what is likely to be running at the Great Central Railway this weekend please.

On the timetable it mentions that the 09:45 ex Loughborough is likely to be a multiple-unit.
Is a unit normally rostered for this service or a loco and coaches?

    Many thanks. <BJ>

09:45 should be the class 101 DMU, but could be substituted by a diesel hauled train or cancelled altogether if it fails again.

2 engines in steam, probably K4 on the 10:15, 14:15, and dalex turns. Has been D49 Morayshire running the other turns recently (11:15, 1:15, 15:45) but won't be this weekend because it's left the railway. Not 78019 (is U/S), probably not 48305 either. Could be Lamiel (which should be back), 47406, N2, Pitchford Hall, presuming all are present. 12:15 diesel turn is anyone's guess, peak favourite though.

Locomotives for this weekend are N2 1744 and 61994. 4953 out of service for the rest of 2010 for winter maintenance.78019 until early 2011. 48305 available and 63601is scarcely used now, only on gala weekends for the forseeable future.

I'm having a ride to Beacon hill (LN to Quorn) tomorrow and buying a rover, my second visit in a week!

Was the K4 and Pitchford hall, great day for photography. I didn't do much though.

The Great Marquess, Pitchford Hall and D8098 were hauling service trains yesterday. Excellent railway, locomotives and weather.
You should all be very proud of the GCR. I was filming yesterday and so a donation will be sent to the railway today. <BJ>
