A big thank you for all your kind comments on my Gamston shot much appreciated. We got lucky in that had it left Retford on time it was overcast so things for once went our way.
    Simon.

Looks from the pictures that this ran with a box today. Can anyone confirm please.
This is not meant as a request to restart the debate just to confirm that my observation is correct.

Well that's your personal opinion isn't it. And it's not actually black and white anyhow, it features a creamtone as applied in Lightroom.

Excellent shots. Take away those power cables and you could be back in the 50's. Well done

    Re: The Tynsider 27/11/10

    Fantastic pictures of this run.

Our UKrailtours excursion with Class 67 67022 (quite an appropriate number for visiting York and the NRM even though A4 #22 Mallard is currently at Shildon) passed 60007 on the outward leg near Stoke and 60019 on the return approaching Grantham. Attempts at trying to get a passing shot of the outward run were thwarted by the snow being thrown up by the speed of our train. I held my small digital camera out of the window only to find that the snow had frozen soild on the front of it when I pulled it back in! Instead we made do with seeing a Blue and maroon blur flash past in the other direction. On the return 60019 and her carriages loomed out of the darkness and passed in seconds. We heard that trains North of York were heavily delayed due to the very severe weather conditions. Our train was delayed from York on the return run due to the other services being disrupted by the weather. Blimey was it cold in York yesterday. Well done to all those who braved out the lineside conditions to get the superb shots of 60007.
