Nice video, enjoyed it. Chester General has changed so much since I was last there in 1967!

May as well add my shots from this morning to Ralph and Austin's but as Austin features briefly in the first shot at Beeston and the fact that we had a chat at Chester may hint that the shots may be similar (if not as good):-

Clan Line will be returning via the WCML to Wimbledon as a loaded test run, (Monday 29th) probably using DBS/Riviera stock + Class 67. There are 2 tanker water stops either side of a detached water stop at Northampton. Looks like the stock will be dropped off at Willesden. After wheel profiling on the support coach Clan Line is due to return to Stewarts Lane on Wednesday 1st Dec. Sorry, no other details or timings.

    Damn!!!!!!!!!!!!

Had hoped she'd be setting off about 9 instead of noon, now there's no point in going out to see her as it'll be dark when she gets to Watford:violin:

Is just me or did she sound a bit off beat in Ralph's video?

Passed Kings Langley at about 18:05 on up slow. Just loco and support coach.
Looked very impressive and one commuter wainting for his train to London, remarked "You don't see that every night!".

Not really, sounds fairly similar to when I experienced it climbing Savernake a year ago, and that was said to be a decent run. I find that Bulleids have a slightly staggered exhaust beat that makes them sound off-beat, and it seems to be more pronounced on the rebuilts.

They always do when compared with the precision beat of GW or LMS exhausts.

Thanks. But then I'm used to the 3 cylinder purr of an LNER racehorse. Never noticed it on a Spam Can either.
