    Hello,

You are welcome. But I think our thanks really have to go to Güven Oguz who took the photographs and Erkut Baykal who posted them on Drehscheibe-Online in the first place.

    Kind regards

    Christoph

    Richard,

a quick internet search revealed the following:

    "Euro-Med Service

A regular, direct and fixed-day maritime service, the Euro-Med is dedicated to the transport of cars, vans and other type of rolling cargo as well as containers.

Five large container ro/ro car carriers are deployed on this service, linking Northern Europe to the whole Mediterranean area, with a weekly frequency.

The ports served are Salerno, Savona, Setubal, Bristol, Cork, Esbjerg, Wallhamn, Antwerp, Southampton, Malta, Piraeus, Izmir, Ashdod, Limassol and Alexandria."

    from: http://www.grimaldi.napoli.it/en/ps_euromed_service.html

I think it's save to assume that the boat will go from Alexandria to Salerno to restart the cycle, so the locos will visit Ashdod (Israel), Limassol (Cyprus), Alexandria (Egypt), Salerno and Savona (Italy) and Setubal (Portugal) on their way.

A few more minutes revealed the timetable: http://www.grimaldi.napoli.it/pdf/schedule/1287057780_euro_med_service.pdf

The next journey of the boat from Salerno in Italy is not listed but a simple calculation will reveal that the boat will leave Bristol on 24 December, so it will arrive on 23 or 24 December. Hey! A Christmas present!

    Regards

    Christoph

    Afternoon everyone,

The link that I previously gave to the position of the Grande Scandinavia only related to that moment in time.
If you go here, http://www.marinetraffic.com/ais/shipdetails.aspx?mmsi=247018700 -then click on the lat/lon position to show on map, that should provide the latest reported position of the ship.

    Very Best Wishes,
    Bob.

Ships arrival information will be posted here - http://www.bristolport.co.uk/shipping-information/forward-movements

You will often note these vessels vary speed depending on schedule and berth availability. I assume they are on this ship - have not looked at the cargo manifest.

I will endeavour to get a few shots of the 8F's at work but will have toi see how things go - it is my annual leave period after all!

There will be an update to her ETA around 1000 tomorrow. The pilot order time is the one to watch for arrival, takes approx 1.5 hours to pass Portishead Point from pilot station.
