t1217a is the correct code - that's what's on the link to Railtours Live from the main tour listing page. The timings page has the wrong code at the top.

40 late through Knockholt. Slipped under the bridge but making a good noise.

Still around 40 late but actually went via Beckenham Jn. and Herne Hill rather than the Catford loop as booked. Sounding well!

Arrived at Tonbridge almost on time but left around 10 late, was slipping a few times on the level but dug in well once on the bank, but could be heard slipping through Hildenborough in the distance, 3 units were backed up behind her. I presume poor rail conditions and possibly being looped at Sevenoaks accounted for some of the reported 40 late in the suburbs, 12 on is a good load for a mickey, it dosnt leave a lot in reserve.

Any more updates? The schedule is quite slack between Ascot and Reading - do we think it will pick up time? Will I get to see it before I go to work?

Apparently it is still at Ascot and they have let a SWT Reading stopper out in front. Looks like I'll miss my steam dose - boohoo!

Just passed the junction with the southern lines at Reading on the train and still no sign of it. The Turbo I'm on is slipping at high speed in the Sonning Cutting. Look forward to seeing your videos when I get back from work.

They messed up the Ascot stop totally by bringing it in on the wrong platform for the water! Spent an hour there instead of 10 mins. More later.

Please make sure you use the correct tour codes for the tours. t1712 is not a valid tour code, and your messages will not be sent out to other members.
The correct tour code for this tour is t1712a

    Cheers

After a freezing cold wait at Tilehurst for over an hour, managed to get this.

Caught me out as it was on the main.
Thanks for all the text updates from Ascot & elsewhere. Would of otherwise gave up.

Yeah, looked good going through Reading on the mainline, with a very full Platform 4 load of passengers awaiting the due HST looking on. Even had a continual station announcement 'stand back etc etc ' Amazed at the Ascot problem. We were starting to assume bad coal ! Nothing seems to be easy for steam lately ! Hopefully she'll be able to bring the train back though.

Forgot to mention..credit to Reading control; only held on the loop for about 2 minutes before being let out on the main line. The traffic at Reading is so heavy, if they had to wait to cross all lines to the relief, there would have been more delays.

I'll be grateful for any return trip text updates, especially around Reading, planning to watch it at Bracknell on the return
