Have any coaches, wagons, locomotives etc been purchased for preservation from this scrap yard and are now in use at heritage railways.
Can you list any rolling stock numbers as example.
    Thank you.

Yes, some locos have been saved from Booths definitely!

31206 is the first loco that springs to mind - now in use at Rushden Station Museum. 47375 also escaped the cutters torch and is now back in action (owned by Nemesis Rail at Barrow Hill for mainline work, althouth it worked at the Nene Valley Railway Diesel Gala last year). 73129 is now at the Gloucestershire and Warwickshire Railway and I believe it is a regular worker on the pw trains (albeit it has been off for some time for an overhaul/repaint). 73133 which appeared at a similar time as 129 was initially returned to Network use as a shunter for Fairwater Yard and I think it may now reside at a preserved railway somewhere but I can't quite remember. The spare class 58 cab (dubbed 58051) which is owned by the class 58 group also came from Booth's although this item has not been restored yet. There was also a scheme to save one of the 37/0s that was in the yard 'recently' but I think that failed at the last hurdle. I'm sure there must be some more locos but little springs to mind at this time. 50023 was saved many years ago and went to Barrow Hill for restoration but this eventually ceased and the loco was cut up. These days many of the locos are more use as spares than been restored in their own right.

As for wagons I'm not so sure, I somehow doubt it though. I'd like to think that some of the MGR hoppers (if they haven't already been chopped) will make it out of there one day.

I'm not too sure on coaches either, but again I'd doubt it. The only thing that may have survived (and it hasn't actually visited the scrap yard as it was saved before being moved there) is some of the Metropolitan Line underground stock which I believe is going to go to the South Yorkshire Transport Museum as the vehicles were built by Cravens of Sheffield.

If you include the smaller stuff (industrials and shunters) the following all passed through Booth's yards and are still extant at preservation sites (this is not intended to be a definitive list):

Yorkshire 2813 (D2854) at Peak Rly
Barclay 435 (06003) at Peak Rly
D9513 at Embsay (actually moved direct from Ashington I believe, but Booth's had bought it)
    D9531 at East Lancs
    D9521 at Barry Island
Ruston 466630 at great Yorkshire RPS
Thomas Hill 188c at Statfold Barn
Hudswell Clarke D1153 at Mangapps Farm
    12099 at Severn Valley
Hudswell Clarke D1387 at pontypool & Blaenavon
Hudswell Clarke D1344 at Appleby-Frodingham RPS

Several of the GCR's Mk.1 coaches came from Booths many years ago, and I think possibly a few wagons too.

There were a batch of ex-BP TTA tank wagons delivered earlier this year. There was talk of 4 being preserved, but I haven't heard anything more about this.
