    Hi,
Just wondered which locos are bowing out in 2011 and what new restorations are realistically due for debut this year? Our Loco 5542 ends its ticket on October 2nd when we hope to have a quick turnaround on the boiler and look to return by Mid 2012. 'Bottom End' work was done mid ticket so we only intend to do routine work in that area. We expect to complete circa 850 steamings and about 55000 miles by October. Does anyone have figures for other locos?

    John

Fenchurch is due to bow out this month I think, as was 80151 but this was withdrawn last month due to repairs needed.

Hopefully 7822 will return at some point this year, only major job left is the boiler.

I think 35006 is approaching the light at the end of the restoration tunnel.

At Bodmin, the current boiler ticket on GWR 0-6-0PT No 4612 - which has been a regular and popular performer on the BWR - expires in May 2011. On the plus side, the BWR expects to welcome back GWR 2-8-0T No 4247 in the early summer.

I don't mind at all, though i have yet to add Pannier No. 7752 to that list.

I can't be 100% certain with engines that are bowing out this year, this is what i have thought of so far to add to the ones already said:

    63601
    7802 'Bradley Manor'
    5764
    5553
    65462? :frown:

At Middleton, MSC 67 will bow out at the end of 2011 and, as has already been mentioned, NER 1310 will enter traffic. Boiler steam test next week, all being well.

I believe the plan is to withdraw her at the end of the 2011 main season, then try and do the overhaul before the red service in 2012. That's what i've been told anyway

I'm sure Ivatt 2 no.46443 also goes out of ticket in 2011
GWR 6634 isn't that far off and is hoped to back this year. Also GWR 813 could well be back running as the work is almost all boiler and firebox, which isn't taking that long.

6634 and Taw Valley boilers are both being worked on elsewhere than the SVR, and I haven't seen dates for their expected completion.

I would say both would be unlikely to appear in 2011, maybe 2012. 2857 spring & possibly 1501 later this year.
