    Rhe picture shown is of D165 on a down freight to Bristol area - presumably from Acton yard whilst I believe that occasionally they worked Severn Tunnel Junction - Ripple Lane trains throughout

    When the occasional Peak worked passenger into Paddington it would have been from one of 2 routes (1) Birmingham NS via Banbury or (2) Bristol direct. This was such a rare event, however, that any workings would have been widely reported at the time.
