If you still can't access the Bristol Railway Archive forum I suggest you PM "James" on this forum, he's a moderator on the Bristol Railway Archive forum and may be able to shed some light as to why access is denied.

From the info you've posted, the response that you were seeing came from the Bristol Rail forum, not from your local IT admin. Therefore it is "recognising" your attempted access, and blocking it.

    This could be due to:
    - you having a cookie for the site set on the PC you're logging on from that makes the site believe you are a banned individual (like when I log on to Nat Pres it knows who I am because of my stored cookie)
    - the IP address of the PC you are using being banned, though this seems less likely

So, if it's the cookie, delete it. Then try again. And next time, don't do stuff that gets you banned :)

Still at Portbury this morning, looks like the first may move today but not 100%.

I see that 45170 is going to Ian Storey's works at Hepscott. Could this mean a future on the NYMR, or perhaps even at Whitrope?

    Or the Alnwick branch, perhaps?

While there's a healthy chance it will see use on the NYMR, as 44767 showed if it isnt required then Ian is quite prepared to take it elsewhere to earn its keep. We'll just have to wait and see.

Has an 8F ever worked on the NYMR in preservation? Would suit the topography of the line if nothing else.

48431 has paid a short visit to the NYMR for a gala, and I think possibly 48773 might have done as well, as cover for a special event but not actually used.

It doesn't sound as though Ian Storey's the new owner, it seems as though it might be one of the 76084 consortium, so there may be no reason why it would go to the Moors - sounds as though it will be a good few years away in any case!
