We too are on this, never seen 46115, only experience of a Scot was seeing bright red 6100 on the Llangollen! Should be a cracker this one especially as we're in premier dining for free courtesy of a competition win last year!

I am also booked on The Peak Forester, hoping the Scot is allowed over the bridge at Matlock, and also that there some optional trips( such a coach to Bakewell) and/or you can get on/off at Matlock Bath, since there not much to occupy 3 hours at either Rowsley or Matlock.

If you go to Matlock Bath, go up the cable car to the Heights of Abraham and take a trip down the lead mine...

I have done that before( and would do it again), and would also recommend it. A hotel which serves Real Ale in Matlock Bath was mentioned/recommended in one of the Peak Rail threads.

Thanks Shedbasher! Really looking forward to it as money is in short supply for us this year and wouldn't have been able to afford standard let alone premier dining! Going to create a new thread for this given the amount of interest and how off topic thread is going.

I spoke to Steam Dreams today about what was happening on this trip. They have confirmed it will run as one train with two separate portions as far as Taunton where it will be split, one portion going to Minehead the other going to Plymouth. Assuming it is fixed 60163 Tornado will work London - Taunton - Minehead & return with 8F 48151 working Taunton - Plymouth & return. The train will be reassembled into a single formation at Taunton on the return.

Sounds intresting, not been a tour starting from the South Coast since 2007 I think when the Spitfire ran to Faversham from Brighton.
