Well it's about time we had another poll, don't you think? ;)

Single choice, votes are public, closes in 15 days time - i.e. end of Jan.

Is the Bristolian the run with 5043 to Paddington?

Yes I'm pretty sure it is. I just copied the list that Matt35027 had prepapred from the nominations on the original thread. I must say a few more dates would have been useful, unless they're all one-offs.

My vote goes to the Britannia Banker. Was meant to be 70013 but had to pull out due to firebox problems, so 6201 stepped in and gave a truly memorable experience up the Lickey with 9600 assisting as banker. :)

Strange that almost half the tours have zero votes? Someone must have proposed these.

Either that or doing some serious canvassing. Nooo you wouldn't do that would you Ben???

OK so EOME has laid a couple of ghosts on Shap and the S&C, so yes a 'bit' of credit is deserved...:tongue1:
but hey let's not go mad........ There's a lot more mountains to climb in the North West yet.

Well I did propose several, but then had to choose the one to vote for. I suspect other people did the same.

So are you going to be present on April 16 when another of the 'North West Mountains' is reduced to a pimple? :first:

I might be on my own with the voting.. but circa 500 mainline steam movements in 5 days is impressive, even if it doesn't have British Railways on the side of the engine.

    Dampfspekktacle gets mine.

Well folks it looks like a resounding victory for the Tyseley mob, who also take 2nd by a nose. Thanks to all who voted.

From everyone at 84E we thank you.

Not sure if we could be classed as a mob – too organized. More of a rabble I think!
