Too soon to announce a final timetable, obviously, but I assume the plan is 2 T&T rakes on full line services and the DMU on Leekbrooks?

I would think that the plan would be to run the 33's top and tail all day and likewise with 37's.

Where the DMMU fits in we have not yet worked it out yet!

The running line in use will be Froghall - Cauldon Lowe - Froghall.

    Regards

    Chris

Any chance that the DMU will be running to Oakmoor during the gala?, I believe the Churnet Valley did this a few years ago at a gala,

    regards George

I think someone of higher standing should be able to answer this, but I would think it unlikely for two reasons: firstly, the DMU is used as one of the three trains required to run a reasonable frequency on the Froghall-Cauldon section of line (as there are only enough hauled coaches to form 2 sets). Secondly, the additional signalling staff required to have the Oakamoor section open are the same volunteers who get tied up at Leekbrook Junction when the Cauldon section is running!

    Never say never though....

Nothing released yet, it should be an interesting timetable if as Chris said they are running with 3 running sets. They must pass at Leek Brook and Consall so some waiting time must be involved with a train at Leek Brook waiting to go up to Cauldon Lowe.

It would seem the timetable for this event has now released - available on the CVR website's Diesel Gala page.

Two sets in operation, with the 104 tackling the bank publicly for the first time. Having had a ride I can vouch that it makes a louder noise than is 'normal' for a DMU! Should reawaken old memories of Miles Platting bank :) Also it looks like the other green machine, the Class 04, will be hauling the DMU (along the flat bit) which is a rare surprise...

Unfortunately, 37075 will not be appearing however efforts are being made to bring in another loco for the event.

Both 5199 & 37109 sounded good on our tourism train to Cauldon Lowe yesterday.
