Thanks mate and yes it is where you saw Bittern. It is not too bad, I walked from Gomshall station as I fancied the walk but there were 10-15 others around and a good few cars about. Only problem would be meeting another car/tractor on that half mile narrow single track bit. Wouldnt fancy reversing up hill for half a mile or so if you did!

Using a Nikon D40X with a Sigma 18-75mm lens for the Wandsworth Shot and a Nikon 55-200mm lens, wound pretty much out to the 200mm mark, for the Ebury Bridge shots, then a Nikon 18-35mm lens for the station shots. Perhaps some more on Friday!

    Thanks,Tom.
They have the bite and sharpness of a film camera.
Im surprised the quality of the 'uprights' on the interiors using a wide angle. We have come a long way from my days in Fleet Street where all that would need lighting with flash as well.

Interesting comment. I thought most reasonable DSLRs had now got to the same quality of film cameras. Until I had some of my E64 120 slides professionally scanned recently! They were taken with Mamya C220s, which was an OK 120 roll film camera, liable to get a bit soft round the extreme edges of the slides/negs though. But that didn't show for the majority of train shots. And the few South African winter sunshine shots I've had scanned so far are pretty good. "Bite" and "Sharpness" as you say. But I think a modern DSLR is as good as/better than most of the mid range 35mm film SLRs now. IMHO.

Maybe a subject for the photo threads. Unless it's already been started there.
