6024 'King Edward 1' reported in steam at Bristol Barton Hill this evening. Let's hope that the owner, Jeremy Hosking, manages to obtain an extension to the loco's main line certificate. <BJ>

What does <BJ> mean? In this context I mean, not generally, I already know that.

Who is then? If it's the Royal Scot Trust I think we can safetly say he is the owner...

I thought the legal nature of a trust is that no one individual can own whatever assets are 'in trust'?. He or she may have a big say in what happens to them, and materially, that might look as good as ownership, but legally it is not...

That's how I understand it. BBLS is a trust so no matter how much we members think we "own" 34081 as individuals, we do not in fact own it at all in the legal sense.

A small fire was lit under the arch to bake repairs made to it and warm the boiler gently, no steam was made. Smoke at the chimney does not necessarily mean steam in the boiler.

Nice to see the King has passed the boiler test etc and has gained certification for another year of mainline work.
