Is TicketWeb working? Just tried to book tickets and I can't find any details on the link off the WSR Official website. No worries if it isn't set up as I can phone through the order tomorrow.

    Regards,

    Dan

I'm losing track of what's actually expected to be running at this gala! Is there a list of the current roster, subject to the usual caveats?

    7812, 6430, 2807, 4160, 5553, 88, 9351, 70000, ...?

I've been updating my first post everytime it changes, thugh wsr.org seems to be kept upto date too.

It would be impressive if I coughed one of them up!

Either that or your sofa needs house training! ;)

  8. The WSR Plc is about to replace its website with a new version which includes online ticketing. See http://www.wsr.org.uk/news.htm#1468

No sure when the changeover is meant to happen but right now would be helpful :)

Are they looking to replace it with something or just sticking to what they have?

  11. Not sure, Andrew. Maybe No 2807 replaces No 5521? But then we must remember we are dealing with SEPT here!

    Steve

  12. Final lineup - according to SEPT in their own words/style is:

    70000 “Britannia”, 30777 “Sir Lamiel”, 7812 “Erlestoke Manor”, 2807, 6430, 34046 “Braunton”, 88, 9351, 4160, 5553. “Kilmersdon”.

LOL - Thanks Steve, and from your additional update still looks an impressive line up to me - lots to look forward, hopefully a cheeky freight running with the 28xx

The online ticketing is now available, just tried to book but I can't find a two day ticket for the 26th/27th, also there doesn't seem to be an option to order the WTT in advance as there was on the old printable order form [which has now disappeared so I can't use that either!].

I noticed that as well Tim. Ordered my tickets but I am hoping to pick up the WTT and gala guide on the day. Hopefully there will still be some available at Bishops Lydeard by mid-morning on the first Saturday!

    Regards,

    Dan

Just realized, I downloaded and saved a copy of the pdf order form last week, so I'll just send that in with a cheque as usual. I've emailed the WSR about the lack of a 2 day ticket online for the 26th & 27th though, as I'm sure other people will want such a ticket!

    Cheers

Just been on the WSR site, all the combinations of 2 day tickets are now available, plus the WTT.

  20. WSR report "A Gala update from the Special Events Planning Team. The Railway is very disappointed to have been advised by the owners of Braunton that the loco will not be available for the first weekend of the Gala. GWR 2-6-2T no 4160 will substitute. On Wednesday 23 March GWR 0-6-0PT no 6430 with Autocoach no 167 will be in traffic along with BR 4-6-2 no 70000 Britannia and be sure to look out for a heritage freight movement from Minehead to Bishops Lydeard at some time during the day. The Norton Shuttles will run on the Saturday and Sunday of each Gala weekend from Bishops Lydeard to the platform at Norton Fitzwarren and then onto the WSR/NR boundary and back. Passengers may alight and re-board the train at Norton Platform but it will not be possible to leave the platform. Due to engineering problems Kilmersdon will not be available to perform shunting demonstrations at Washford. However, there will be shunting demonstrations at Dunster on Saturday and Sunday of the first weekend and Saturday of the second weekend."
