    There haven't been any updates on the Class 15 Preservation Society web site since the end of December - http://www.d8233.org.uk/. Does anybody know what's going on?

    Hi,
    Since we put it's cab back on, the 15 and the cobo have taken a bit of a back seat whilst we concentrate getting D9531 finnished. Its been under overhall since 1998 so we decided enough is enough, lets get it finnished. However in the background me and another C15PS guy have been working on a Microsoft Train Simulator add on to boost the funds. Expect some progress reports filtering in in a month or toooooooo!

    It's beyond comprehension, all those you see on TV of breaking news, and no one has the nous to use landscape. Some time back NWT asked for phone videos and insisted that people use their phones horizontally, they reported that many entries were eliminated because there were submitted in portrait. :Facepalm:

    Because it's the way most people hold their phones, so it's how they take pictures and videos.

    The majority of mobile phone holders don't really care about photography.

    The BBC says exactly the same thing too. Maybe they have their TVs at home stood on their end, or Baird's original 3:7 format is coming back and no-one's told us.

    Fairly obvious to me that you are correct, don't go to a station to photograph a train, most normals don't have a clue where to stand and why there is a gap in front of the line up of photographers, they simply walk infront to get 'the best shot' in vertical format (in their view) and ruin yours. I'd ban phone cameras tomorrow if I was in power (LOL!!) :D

    There are places where they are banned as a security risk. I've met someone who encountered this - try going into a phone shop and saying "I want a smart phone without a camera."

    However, I have also encountered some very arrogant professional photographers at platform ends in the past who do just the same thing.
