I've just had a look at the timings for the return - Newark to Peterborough more or less start-to-stop in 40 minutes!

I logged into the Railtours live updates out of curiosity a couple of times today and the updates seem to be pretty regular so thanks to whoever it is sending in the info.

Last update was that the tour was held south of Peterborough but on the move again at 6pm.

    Neil.

It was a good trip thanks to RTC, West Coast and the support crews.

We were held south of Peterborough just before the lines go doem to 2, to let a number of trains pass us
On the return we had a the Fast line from Connington to where the lines merge from 4 to 2 before Welwyn Viaduct, and a good run on the slow until just North of Alexandra Palace. Arrived about a minute late, after being 10 behind. Standard was on front all day( the whole train was turned).

............... or pictures? I've noticed that, there are 5 pages on this thread most of which were posted less than a week prior to the event, yet hardly anything on the day itself. Just one picture from Raimondo.

An excellent trip, lots of crisp noise at the front end, and decent weather to go with it. Particularly enjoyed the stretch over Harringworth, some fantastic scenery in the area, despite only being a stone's throw from post-industrial Corby. Nine months or so out of service for heavy repairs doesn't seem to have spoiled 70013's form, or its penchant for storming the gradients. Definitely my second-favourite class after the Bulleid collective, and will be interesting to see how 70000 compares over the coming years. Now for the WSR gala!

Probably something to do with Fotopic being down.........

I currently have my hands full trying out alternatives and I suspect that many are in the same boat - having said that I am usually very slow uploading new stuff and I was actually on the train so only have a couple of shots. It was an excellent trip BTW and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Here's my paltry, 19-second effort (I was trying out my new camera's features on this trip) for what it's worth, taken on the curve at Syston East/North Junction.
