Don't know if it quite fits into the gala thread so in general chat but just to give a heads up, excuse the pun, that for a slightly different Real Ale Event MoSI is hosting an event towards the end of March in the museums power hall. I'm not an ale drinker but from what I've heard it promises to be a good event

Details available from the link below:

Wait, I've given the matter a lot of thought and after consulting my very hectic social diary.........................................................I have decided to grace the event with my presence.
Oh, and she will be coming as well.

I've just read on another site that the York station tearooms previously occupied by a model railway is undergoing conversion to a real ale pub called the York Tap....................Victor's going to be busy..........

Ah, now I have sussed out why the tour isn't going via Manchester now. They were worried that we may leave the tour in Manchester and MOSI put in a request to Vintage Trains to re-route the tour.... we must be getting a reputation Ralph... :suspicious:

On a more serious note I think this a great idea and I hope that MOSI runs another in the near future when I am not otherwise engaged.

    Neil.

Would you like this moved to the Galas and Events thread as it would then be viewable to non registered visitors to the forum?

Don't know if this will go down too well with you members 'oop north'. Just lately in my local The White Horse we've had a couple of brews from The Box Steam Brewery. And I can recommend Tunnel Vision and Piston Broke. If they are on sale at the MoSI festival give them a try....you wont be disappointed.
I think they're are a fairly recent newcomer to brewing and given their location they seem to have a close relationship to all things GWR.

Neil Yes that would be great. As far as future Real Ale events in my own opinion if it proves successful I imagine it will be repeated and hopefully accompanied by the sound and smell of working steam mill engines. :)

Sounds as though the event was more popular than expected. Good to hear it went so well and when's the next one?
