I see that both the VSOE with Clan Line and the Cathedrals Express with Tangmere are running through Staines this Wednesday morning within 15 minutes of each other, one in each direction.

If the VSOE timings are the same as last year, then they are scheduled to pass each other somewhere near Feltham Station, between 9.20 and 9.25. That would be a good sight to see. Lots of whistling will go on, I'll bet!

I may try to get down there.

If you don't know Feltham don't follow the postcode on the National Rail website. It takes you to the young offenders institution!

Well, Bedfont Lakes, almost directly opposite, has some cracking viewpoints. Facing south unfortunately, though the current weather forecast is mostly cloudy and about 5-6C, so should be nice for steam.

Both Clan Line (working hard on the VSOE) and Tangmere duly passed Egham this morning.

Yes thanks for that Ralph. I think you know what I meant. Photo's of the 2 passing one another. But now I see that Tangmere was held a signal. Was Tangmere late running on the video posted by Will?

Tangmere was on time up to the signal stop where we lost 10 mins.but it was great to see Clan Line come slowly across the junction and exchange of whistles between the locos, also my first close up look at Clan line, that was me at the first window after the support coach
