    Hi All

    Again due to fotopic failing i have now added the collection of Hillhouse mpd at Huddersfield featuring locos from the early 1900's up to 1990's, as previously i would appreciate some help with loco class id's as i have lost a lot of the captions

    A very nice collection of photos, but the first one, that of 1059, is not a GV 4-4-0 but a Class B four cylinder compound 0-8-0.

    What amazing photographs, I only managed Hillhouses once in the steam days, an interesting shaped shed sat at the end of the viaduct, I think the land it once occupied is still there albeit overgrown

    The land is now occupied by small open plots, mainly a stone depot, and yes a coal depot!!! and various other odds & sods all fenced in behind the 6 foot high ballustrade fencing
    The coal staithes are also intact see here
