Through Hornsey 09.36. Got a signal check but accelerated away nicely after the station. On down slow without the diesel on the back.

A double first for me today. First time I've seen a Princess on the GN and the first time I've had a steam loco shut off and drift through Welwyn North. :-( Chased it to near Biggleswade only to get stuck behind a very slow moving tractor and miss the shot. Absolutely flying along in the distance.

An update from my contact on board, on time at the Peterborough water stop, 32 mins York-Doncaster, 61 into Peascliffe Tunnel, 70 through Grantham, 59 into Stoke Tunnel. Then Fast Line on the racing stretch, Mike Notley onboard and reckons one of the best runs he's had with her.

Went out to do some sound. Going great guns near Arlesey but about 16 minutes late. The local ahead of it was running late so that probably explains the delay. There are some odd people out after dark and I don't mean steam enthusiasts. Just before 6201 came past, a shadowy figure
crossed the line on the foot crossing and then went and hid in the bushes in the adjacent meadow.

He was probably returning to his home after an evening at the pub and needed a pee behind the bushes. When he arrived at his home he
explained to his wife how he saw a strange figure next to the railway line staring into the distance. How weird is that he asked her? <BJ>

Was on this run yesterday, stonking run back, really really enjoyed. Was about two coaches back on the way home and the noise she makes was amazing,

Heres one pic at York, i'll process the rest a bit later on

at the end of the run was allowed up on the footplate with my good freind, me in the drivers seat him the firemans, all the crew then went off to carry on thier jobs, but a real surreal experiance, we must have been up there for five minutes, defo need to get behind this loco again, thank you to Steam Dreams for a cracking trip

I agree but it was a very long pee as he hadn't reappeared by the time I left. On the other hand I was in Arlesey and the people there make Hillbillies look quite normal. :)

Would you guys stop talking about quite normal Yeti behaviour as though it was something weird.

    LOL!
