Reported timings for the movement of locos 45305 and 70013 from St. Blazey to Penzance on Friday, 29th April. Rather later in the day than I had expected.
Probably delayed due to the crews insisting on watching Will and Kate's wedding. Oh, the excitement. I bet I won't be able to sleep tonight !!

    5Z27 St. Blazey dep 14:45, Par 15:00-15:30, Truro 15:56, Camborne 16:18, arr Penzance 16:40. <BJ>

The Class 33 went down to Southall with some empty stock yesterday. Something more interesting perhaps for the diesel section of the tour?

Unless the plans are for a very short train tomorrow, I wouldn't expect to see a class 33. <BJ>

I know it was wishful thinking - 33 and 37 together maybe? Although should be a light load anyway as NR doesn't like sending much more than 10 over the South Devon route even for two locos.

47500 and stock passed through Lostwithiel earlier pretty much on time I think. Hoping the cloud and rain don't hinder a shot this afternoon's return leg!

I was just about to ask the same thing, we have had a bit of cloud but no rain at all here in Reading since early March at least, maybe just one or two spots. Been lots of rain threats but never comes to anything. The weather forecast is always moving the goalposts.

Definitely rained in Cornwall as the two went through Lostwithiel. Less than an hour later and the sun was back out!

Note the Network Rail fencing that has been installed over the last couple of years on both sides of the line in Hemerdon Woods. It has completely ruined the view and is a scar on the landscape not just for railway photographers but also for walkers and the railway passenger. If new fencing was required why couldn’t a fence, which was more sensitive to the environment, have been installed?
I’m not looking to start a debate on fencing again but as I can see this fencing from my back garden I get annoyed every time I look at it. There, I’ve got it off my chest!
