Nothing much reported for this trip. I watched her making a spirited ascent of Stormy bank, toward the end of the tour, pretty much on time behind the London HST. So it appears that everything went well.Nice to see a freight workhorse out on the main line and having a go.Quite good value really, making as much noise and spectacle as "larger wheeled types" but staying in view for almost twice as long !!

I must say I'm surprised at the lack comment or photographers lineside during this tour.
I went out to film it yesterday, video being edited and should be up on Youtube later.

Just caught up with this thread. That is a terrific video Bill, I feel like I've seen the whole trip. That's great work finding all those locations and getting good footage too, thanks for posting it. I do have a question though about finding the gradient on those lines that don't appear in 'BR Main Line' book. Is there another source for finding the gradient on those other lines, it looks quite a climb at Knucklas for instance. Thanks anyway.

Hi David, thanks for the kind comments about the video it certainly was fun filming it.
Finding locations well that was down to OS and google maps! As for gradients, mainly through word of mouth on that line for me I'm afraid.
