Does anyone know if 46115 or 44932 is expected on this one?

There was a lot of wild speculation that the diesel part of the tour might be 33s. Someone with connections to Spitfire has just confirmed that this is *not* the case.

I'm heading up to Ribblehead to film tomorrow.

Yes, anyone heard on what motive power it may be, the 5 or the Scot?

    Cheers

    Tom

Well looks like tomorrow could be like the old days.

    "Whats next?"
    "The 10.45 Carlisle."
    "I reckon she'll be a Five or a Scot" !

Out at Blea Moor and then probably somewhere on the climb to Shap tomorrow... wonder what's going to turn up - I won't be disappointed, either way!

judging by slacker times on WCML than the Scots GBIV run it could be the 5

Report from Settle station this morning. Various cameras set up on south bound platform, 46115 roars into view and then cement train drifts quietly down behind the assembled gallery, result, no photos..........................

Wonder what colourful language was used 'up north'. My sympathy anyway; always a risk as I know only too well on the GWR at Twyford, with HSTs racing by every few minutes.

I was going to make a humourous comment on this.

Until I realised this hasn't happened to me for sometime , so I must be due to experience the same thing before very long.........

I wasn't there so don't know what remarks were made, but I have previously videoed from the footbridge, nothing gets in you way then.

I fully intended to go to Dentdale to see this but having seen the murk ahead as we came through Ingleton had a change of plan & dropped back to Helwith Bridge instead. Not sure I picked the best spot but the scot certainly looked & sounded great.

Great footage Steve...I too was at Ribblehead, and the wind was certainly an issue for me too, I've tried to edit the sound as best as I can...I'm uploading now, should be up in an hour.

That view at Strickland is stunning!
