I'm on this, I too would be very interested on updates on 70000! Anyone got any info? Would be quite happy if 46115 substituted though as this is our replacement tour for the ill fated Peak Forester tour earlier in the year which was provisionally booked for the Scot.

    Hi,
70000 doesn't look like it's going to be the motive power. There is a photograph on the WSR taken yesterday of it being towed with coupling, connecting, eccentric rods and return crank off.
6201 is booked for Tyseley open day, so a loco from Carnforth perhaps?
    Regards,
    John.

As I said I think 46115 maybe very likely for this. If that is the case i'll be more than happy as I had 70013 over this route last year and I have yet to see Scots Guardsman!

A really worthwhile substitution which cannot surely be cause for complaints..

May make the journey up to Warrington BQ to get a photo of this. Then I would have a picture of a Duchess, Lizzie, Jubilee, a Black 5 & a Scot speeding through the station.

Certainly not from me but this is Natpres...! Perhaps a quick coat of pillar box red and a renumber and it can then fulfil the original product description..! ;)

Anyone know what the box might be now we have a few more miles behind it? Not entirely suprised given this is now a Carnforth loco, light engine moves aren't cheap.

You won't see any steam there if you do. The steam section has been cut back from & to Preston.
