    Another video by Bevan Wall.

This one depicts 3265 hauling the Governor General's Carriage (GG) to Thirlmere on Wednesday 25th May 2011. GG will be placed on display in the newly built Trainworks building.

GG is one of the few very special carriages that the NSWGR built. Along with the State Governor's Carriage (SG) and the Commissioners Train (AAH 7, 8, 9 & 19) it was used to when the Head of State's representative travelled by rail. Indeed, it was used when Queen Elizabeth II (Queen of Australia) toured in 1954. GG and SG are NSW's Vice-Regal carriages.

Like it, the carriage looks big, presumably the loading guage is bigger out there even if the track guage isnt...

The NSW track is standard gauge although their loading gauge is quite a bit bigger than the UK. Other states were built with different gauges, with proportionately large loading gauges, but standard gauge track is getting more widespread.
