I see on The Light Side that Peckett 1370/1915 'May' from the East Lancs Railway has been announced as a visitor.

I may be missing a trick having been in the USA last week - but the light side has something to do with Jedi Warriors ?. That said Jedi's now into industrial steam is a unexpected twist.

Dubs had a trudle out yesterday in the rain, 2842 being repaint and Whiston being polished again.

The Light Side being The Works forum, members from which often call this forum The Dark Side.

Dubs was out and about again on Sunday, she looked at home shunting a repainted coach ( in SR green ! ) around the yard.

Bellerophon looking a treat as ever, 2842 looking smart as lining is applied.

Anyone own an engine and wants to visit Foxfield? Give it up a trundle up the bank maybe? Well we have a gala that needs a visiting engine... Please p.m me....

    Rich

P.S. Little Peckett May can't make the party this year, but I'm sure it will do at some point.

Why not go for the 'Return of the Mardy Monster' I'm sure Harry Stenton its owner would like to come again and make the people in Cheadle hear it!

Other possibilities are Salmon at the Swindon & Cricklade or Ring Haw at Sheringham.

HE 1026 would be a good coup. After all, its used to blasting up steep gradients...

Shame "Haulwen" is currently out of traffic, too...

Why not go Dutch and get "WALKDEN" from the Ribble Steam Railway?

Sadly lacking vac brakes (unless it's had some fitted in the past few weeks since I saw it ), so wouldn't be able to work the passenger trains. A shame though, as it's a very nice loco - been a while since I've seen an Andrew Barclay steam as well as that! :)

I thought it had vac brakes for working brake van shuttles at Rutland, but only has a pipe fitted fitted under the cab? Perhaps I'm wrong!

I'd love to see Twizzell or Renishaw Iron Works No.6 from the Tanfield...

What about a Polish Tkh or a Sentinel, something different on the bank?

No thanks! Neither are impressive performers, the sentinel would take ages to go up and the Tkh would hardly make any sound. The thing about Foxfield is the action, these engines wouldnt provide it.
