    Great shots.

Great trip... roll on The Easterling.

I wonder what the chances are of having 2 brits running on the Great Eastern the same day?

Yes I am an active volunteer
I believe The Easterling has been cancelled as Network Rail could not find a path from Lowestoft and Ipswich

The Easterling has not been cancelled. It is now running to Great Yarmouth outward via Acle and return via Berney Arms and the Wensum Curve instead of Lowestoft and the East Suffolk Line.

Mike Notley in Steam Railway records that Liverpool Street to Colchester was done in 57min 10 sec for 51.52 miles compared to 1959 booked timings of 55 minutes ( Note : In 1959 the Norfolkman did not stop at Colchester). As far as Marks Tey the train was inside the 1959 timings.
