Thanks Roy. Wasn't sure if that one was ok or not but will be there on Friday night hopefully.

I have started to pull my pics of Foxfield together on FlickR. These may be of interest to anyone visiting for the first time. http://www.flickr.com/photos/64433281@N07/sets/72157627035651046/

Hopefully add a few more this weekend.

    Hunslets Finest:

The Indian in Forsbrook is called Roshni and is next door to the Roebuck pub.

Another is called "The Mango tree", that is a bit more of a walk though, its on Uttoxeter Road in the direction of Draycott, I think you pay a tenner or so and eat as much as you like.

As long as you're not in a hurry! They were rushed off their feet last year when I took an order for the geordies... I wouldn't mind, but only 3-4 ordered! :D Food was pretty decent, however, as I recall.

    Hi Tony,

Opening times are when you want to turn up, crews on duty from approx 6.30am but tickets probably won't be available till 8am. First freight departure from Blythe Bridge Caverswall Road is 9.10am and first passenger 10.00am.
A guide for the gala including all the information you requested will be available to purchase with your ticket.

Big job on Dubs today - I have to drill and tap two 1/4" holes to fit the last of the original worksplates !.

I think that I shall arrange a party for her soon, 110 years old this year.

Hi Martin. Yep, I think the res is too low. It looked ok on my computer, but it seems to have lost something when I uploaded it to Flickr. I'll sort out a new version.

It was raining for the first run up the bank yesterday, and it rained on and off for most of the morning. The sun was out quite a bit in the afternoon, but only for two trips up the bank, the Bagnalls and Bellerophon, which produced no exhaust.

A good gala, though slightly marred by the excessive HV wearing. Yes, wear an orange vest trackside, but there must've been half a dozen people down at the colliery wearing orange jackets who never went near the track. If it's so the public can tell you're staff, wear a name badge! I know the lack of HV being worn was brought up in the inquiry, but it seemed completely over the top.

Always love visits to Foxfield, and the rain yesterday didn't change my views - was another BRILLIANT gala!

Uploaded my first photo of Florence No. 2, the rest will be up later, as well as my video

Looks like you all did OK in typical Foxfield gala weather. Didn't make it this year for the first time in about 7 years...now when is the Autumn gala?!?

Did Dubs get down to the colliery?

    Cheers,
