A wreath is to be carried on the smokebox tomorrow in memory of John Shuttleworth.

About 10 down arriving into Preston. A number of John Shuttleworth's former colleagues from Preston S&T were stood in the sidings watching as the train passed by. Though no wreath as had been expected.

After a difficult few weeks I managed to get out for a short while this morning to catch this at Bee Lane Preston. A few minutes down. Couldn't manage the rest of the trip sadly.

I saw it go through Selside this morning and the sound was absolutely unbelievable. It made me wish that I did video! A couple of guys were doing video and I asked if they would be posting on any forum. Sadly the answer was "No" and while there are usually quite a few at that particular spot, not so this morning.

    Regards

    John

I had other comitments this morning and had to give the outward leg a miss.

Just caught the returning leg between Clitheroe and Whalley - running late. The service train had been put in front of it.
