48151 disgraced herself after setting the lineside vegetation alight at Leyland. A few shots of 48151 and the aftermath at http://www.northwestrailphoto.co.uk/gallery/index.php

That's odd since it's down hill there and the regulator would have been barely open. By the way, what time was she through there?

she passed about 6pm. It was unusual, she did well to throw a cinder over there and there was hardly any exhaust. deffinateley to blame though as there is no electrical gear there and its at the top of a fenced off banking. The caught extremeley quick considering how damp its been.

UKSteam shows that either 70013 or 34067 is moving from Southall to Crewe tomorrow. Does anyone know what the decision hinges on? And which one is the more likely to make the trip?

I've heard 34067 will go north to work the Liverpool - Scarboro' as both 70013 and 46201 are out of action, 60019 will take over from 34067 in the south, but not to Kent on 28.7.11, which will probably be 70000.

Crewe - Scarborough Friday and maybe Crewe - Carlisle via Liverpool Saturday, but 5305 may be rostered for one of them.

Any news on the spamcan? I might head out despite the dreary grey weather.

Got a couple of pan shots at Hatton north. Not that successful though as the wind, as per usual when trying for this shot was blowing the wrong way. At any other time it always blows the other way. Seems as though I can't win. Sods law I guess!!
