Look forward to a lot more news as I am guessing that planning must be well advanced by this stage.

Thinks are moving on at a very rapid pace at the moment, sometimes that fast its difficult to keep up.

We should be in a position over the next few weeks to announce a visiting engine.

We will have the largest display of Model Layouts that have been in attendance, that we are running/ran out of space!!!

The usual trade stands and music and memorbillia.

We will have a large vintage vehicle display at East Tanfield, with over 50 vehicles showing interest.

We will also have an interesting display for the narrow guage enthusiasts! More details again to follow later...not sure if P&JR Would like to elaborate on this one...

Intensive Timetable as ever with things to see and do everywhere, again this will be one not to miss!

[P.S. hopefully no loco failures will hit us this year!!!!]

Friday night will see our photographic evening and this is providing very popular with over 100 people last year, we will be staging more scenes and hope to give something different to photograph/video!

Tickets for the event and photographic evening will be available soon to pre-book to save and waiting time when you arrive on-site.

Keep an eye on our website for more information soon!

    Chris

    Cheers Chris

The Vintage Vehicle display, does that mean no parking at E Tanfield again this year and does the Vintage Vehicle display not lend itself to its own weekend?

    Hi Andrew,

There will be no parking at East Tanfield, but extra parking should be available at Andrews House.

We have worked up a good working relationship with the vintage car guys and found this is a good weekend for them to visit us as of the other shows on in the area.

We aim to encorperate so much at one event, not only to attract the enthusiasts, but the families as well, and i'm sure you'd agree we do that quite well. (but always room for improvement!)

We were measuring up for some of the attractions last night, its quite interesting to see how many people can replicate a tent!!!

What do you guys want to see at the event?

Is the Y7 from Beamish or WST from Bowes available to keep the movement costs low?

I am looking forward to seeing what the guests are. I may yet buy a ticket for the night shoot to take some snaps after I have set up Weeklyn Hill.

Have you ever thought of getting the Dubs crane tank from Foxfield? That would be something different.

    Hi All,

Yes our website is down but we are maintaining our web presence on facebook (link below) and our blog at http://tanfield-railway.blogspot.com/
We are transfering hosts, which is proving to be more of a challange than expected!

Well i think i have kept you all in suspense for long enough.

Our first visitor the this years gala is Agecroft No.1 from MOSI in Manchester. Originally built in 1948 in Newcastle we are returning her to her birth place in the north east.

Keep an eye out later for further news of a second visitor......
