If you will foot the low loader bill I am sure we can organise something along those lines in about 3 years time when the line up could be:

    Active with luck - 7802/12/20/22/27/28

    Static - 7808/7819/7821

As 7819 will have returned from Swindon by then the cheapest option would be to stage the event on the SVR as only 6 locos will need moving, or on the WSR if you want to pay to move 7.

A cheque for around £36,000 should just cover the transport costs so that is the current sum you would need to provide before hire costs are dicussed.

Oh & don't forget that most of these locos are in regular high season use so any gala would need to be before easter or after mid september.

Variety is the spice of life and the same applies to any steam gala. Can't think of anything more boring than every loco being from the same class! Mind you I did quite enjoy the Terrier gala at the Bluebell a few years ago. This was made more interesting by all 5 Terriers being in different liveries though.

The SVR Rolling Stock Trust www.svr-rollingstocktrust.org.uk/index.html is the majority shareholder in 7819 Hinton Manor and is fundraising for her overhaul. She may be in bits by then!

...and I think it would have to be held on ex-Cambrian Metals; Llangollen Railway - an idea for SSS4 perhaps? ;)

Being a bit pedantic, the Llangollen is not Cambrian as the Cambrian Railways only started at Dolgelley :)
