You two got some belting light at Horwich, really lush, and the princess looked like she'd had a coat of lacquer today.

Trespassers on the line at Birkett Common. They'll spoil it for the rest of us!! <BJ>

The only trespassers I could see on F2G's video were 3 sheep on the embankment and, as we could clearly see, they browzled pretty sharply when 6201 approached.
..... or was it the sheep to which you actually were alluding and your sarcasm is too subtle for me?!!
I think the only thing that 'spoiled it' there today was that ****** cloud over the sun! (Same thing happened to me at Crosby Garrett last Saturday.)

6201's paint has been touched up recently. She had no cabside number or LMS lettering on the tender at Tyseley last month. The support coach is also now matching LMS maroon (previously was BR blood and custard).

My effort from today is here:

Search on 6201 for other photos of Lizzie this year.

You'll never believe it but yet another video from Birkett Common (from the very top) plus a couple of new locations for me - near Forton (between Preston and Lancaster) and near Meal Bank (on the climb to Grayrigg):

Hey Neil - have your kids recovered from dangling off the steelwork at Horwich yet? - very entertaining!

I don't normally go in for the "here's mine" beauty contest - but I didn't shell out a century for someone to take this for me!

Unfortunately this year's timings mean that the Plaza shot will never be up to last year's

Well Lizzie was certainly back with vengeance, a great run some fine running and fabulous sound. The climb of Shap was not intended to attempt to break any records, just a good solid noisy performance, my video will hopefully be on later this evening.
Yes it was spoiled by some snail pace timings on the return run, thus allowing us to regain time lost at Hellifield. Water tank had been emptied by 46115 northbound and I understand that it is fed by a garden hose from a tap at the station, and probably takes about 18 hours to refill. So 6201 had to go over to the hydrant at the car park side, and the car parked over it, bodily lifted away by support crew.. The final brisk run from Stockport to Crewe ended a fine day, and the first three coaches did not fill with smoke either.

I believe the support coach was 99040, one of the pair PRCLT own. It's been in use behind 6201 for a while now. The one 6201 used to run with, 35465, is now used with 70000.

Wider angle at the same location . For anyone going there the landowner I believe lives in the Bungalow and was very unimpressed with everyone climbing over the fence . There is a gate at the top which is easily opened. Lets not lose this location so please use the gate . She may ask for a donation to the air ambulance going forward

    Hi Martin
Was the gate you mention near the tree where you took the shot as you came in the same way as I did.I think a donation is a great idea for an excellent cause.
    Where is the bungalow.
    Cheers Henry

it is . The Bungalow is behind where I was stood . I had a really good chat and explained what was coming .

The footpath runs alongside the field and up onto the road
