    As was detailed in another thread this locomotive celebrated its centenary earlier today with a talk on its history.

    The locomotive has a very interesting past and whilst searching a bit into its past found an article that may be of interest to people here - a translation of a book published in Pakistan on its move to Manchester in the 1980s.

    It is indeed that gauge. The museum has an additional rail installed to make the 5' 6" gauge which extends outside so the locomotive could be moved into the 'power' hall when it arrived and brought outside on occasion such as at the Great Garratt Gathering in 2009.

    also it got dropped when being unloaded at liverpool docks!!!
